Installing XBMC/Kodi on Device:
Pre-Requisites
Latest Version of SPMC or alternative version of Kodi.FireTV Utility: Software for your PC that connects to FireTV and helps with app "sideloading" and install. Also used for rooting FireTV.
adbFire: Optional software that also helps with sideloading apps and other utilities.
Install Steps Overview
Note: Full Install instructions for Kodi is available on the official Kodi Wiki Site- Use FireTV Utility app to side load KodiMediaCenter
- Use FireTV Utility to change icon of IkonoTV app (or ClassicTV app) to Kodi icon (if desired).
- Use FireTV Utility to sideload FireLauncher (?) app and setup app to launch into Kodi after boot automatically.
